[Bug 9260] On one extreme, we have parentheses. On the other extreme, we have sidebars. But in the middle ground, we have footnotes. How should footnotes be handled if <aside> is not the right way to do it?

The spec in fact includes an example of how to mark up footnotes using <aside>
