informative section " In such cases, it is appropriate to use longdesc
as a fallback strategy, in combination with more modern techniques."

Makes longdesc sound old... I know it is, but perhaps it would be
better to say something like:

"In combination with other techniques that may be more appropriate in
certain contexts"
