Re: Chairs

Dear all,

I haven't introduced myself yet. My name is Carsten Keßler, I have a
background in geoinformatics as well as semantic web technologies and
I have been working for UN OCHA on the Humanitarian eXchange Language
(HXL; see [1]) for more than a year now. This fall, I will be joining
CUNY's Hunter College in NYC as assistant professor for geographic
information science. One of my research areas will be the use of
semantic web technology for disaster response, and I hope to be able
to continue the work with OCHA on HXL.

Cheers,
Carsten
