@makxdekkers Yes, the "follow your nose" principle is one of the basic principles of Linked Data, I see nothing wrong with that. I am not suggesting parsing URIs here.

If an implementation does range queries, it can always cache the data from the authoritative source as optimization, if that is what worries you.
