Subject: Proposal to change HTML Media Capture to address issue LC-2644

N N Murthy

Regarding issue LC-2644, "support different image producing devices" [1],
the DAP WG discussed the issue on today's teleconference [2].

We believe this can be resolved by understanding that a camera, scanner etc
are all "still image capture" devices.

Concretely, I believe we can resolve this issue by making the following
change to section 5.1, "Attributes", of the HTML Media Capture draft [3]:

In the table cell for keyword 'camera' and capture control type, change "A
camera" to "A still image capture device".

Does this resolve the issue for you? Members of the WG, does this change
capture the discussion today?

Please +1 on the list if this change is acceptable.

Thanks

regards, Frederick

However what this group trying to do is better solution compared to web
services. Hence my request.
