This is a Call for Consensus (CfC) to publish "Web Application Privacy Best Practices" as a Working Group Note. The current editors draft is at: <http://dev.w3.org/2009/dap/privacy-practices/> This draft was last published on 4 August 2011 [1] and has been stable since then apart from the addition of a new best practice related to active consent [2]. This CfC satisfies the group's requirement to "record the group's decision to request advancement". By publishing this as a WG Note the group agrees this document is completed, though an update to the note can be published at any time as needed. Please send all comments regarding this CfC to the public-device-apis@w3.org public mailing list by next Tuesday, 26 June 2012. Please note silence will be considered as agreement with the proposal. If you support this CfC, a positive response is preferred and encouraged.
