For the sake of argument, implementers who want to offer authors the
ability to use XPath in XBL2 would know how to, making it less likely
that poor engineering decisions are made and less likely that multiple
vendors offer this support in incompatible ways. It could also have
adverse effects, for example, authors might read the specification and
annoy browser vendors with feature requests.
