What I had in mind when I wrote 8+8 was an
old IBM mainframe system, DOS 360 or MVS, I
forgot the details.  It was fun to (ab)use a
virtual "PUN" device for a kind of e-mail...

After getting over the shock that thousands
of very real PUNched cards were now history.
