M's response, last we talked with them (5/6), seemed to indicate that
they would do so if enough requests came in.  I gather that is how
RFC1867 file upload finally made into MSIE.  I have not heard from them
since on this issue.

Just as a note, MSIE does not report an error when it runs into an
unknown authentication scheme (like "Digest" ...).
