Can I specify the list of allowable attributes?

Maybe I simply need an HTML validator, but haven't found one.

What do you mean exactly by disallow here?

That would give

  Warning: <input> proprietary attribute "listener"

and `--drop-proprietary-attributes yes` would remove it.
