Hi, W3C Validator Team!
I hope, you can help me with my problems validating my homepage.
I think, my XHTML code is quite fine, only your validator does report
an error which I think is related to the byte-order mark of the UTF-8
encoding.
It says: "<!DOCTYPE
html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
Line 1, column 0: character "" not
allowed in prolog
All other validators I used like my page, all browsers I used can
display it in standards conforming mode. When I use ISO western
european encoding, I don't have any problems. Please tell me what's
going wrong, because I don't want to remove the W3C icon form my page.
:)
(I use notepad of Windows XP to save the files in UTF-8 format)
Thanks in advance,
Michael Firbach
