Telnet to: info.cern.ch User name: www (no password) You will be presented with the home page which is used at CERN on the central machines. From there, you can follow links whatever documents and indexes we know about at CERN or elsewhere in the world of online information. You will be using the line mode brower, which assumes nothing about your terminal capabilities. This trial service is provided for those who want to try out the software, or who need information and are away from home. If you use this service frequently, it is much more efficient and faster for you to install the browser locally. You can of course get help, including installation instructions, by following the "Help" link from the home page. __________________________________________________________ Tim Berners-Lee timbl@info.cern.ch World Wide Web project (NeXTMail is ok) CERN Tel: +41(22)767 3755 1211 Geneva 23, Switzerland Fax: +41(22)767 7155
