Apologies for cross-posting... The European Commission has announced an Action Line 'Semantic Web Technologies' as part of the IST Work Programme 2001. The Action Line is hosted by Key Action III (Multimedia Content and Tools) of the IST Programme. It will be included in IST Call 7, likely to be launched in June 2001. For further details (including a summary report on a 'Semantic Web Technologies' workshop that took place in November 2000, in Luxembourg) please visit our website at http://www.cordis.lu/ist/ka3/iaf/index.htm. An Open House Event will be organized by Key Action III, on 12-13 March 2001, at the European Commission in Luxembourg, Kirchberg, JMO Building. The purpose of this event is to inform the KA3 community of Calls 6 and 7 and to launch the FP6 consultation process, while providing ample opportunity to meet with KA3 staff to discuss any of the above, and to network with other interested parties. Please check for updated information: the Open House Second Announcement (ftp://ftp.cordis.lu/pub/ist/docs/ka3/ka3_oh_second_announcement.doc) and the Open House Registration Form (ftp://ftp.cordis.lu/pub/ist/docs/ka3/ka3_oh_reg_final_2001.doc) (Capacity of conference facilities is limited to 270 people - early booking is advisable.) -- Hans-Georg Stork // Hans-Georg.STORK@cec.eu.int European Commission, DG Information Society D5 (Information Access and Filtering)
