About Mozilla Evangelism
by Brant Langer Gurganus

The mission of Mozilla Evangelism is to promote the use of Mozilla and browsers based upon technologies developed bymozilla.org by identifying sites which do not work properly in Mozilla, diagnosing the sites' contents, and communicating with the site webmasters to provide them with the resources and motivation necessary to support Mozilla.

Since part of the motivation behind the development of Mozilla is the development of a standards-compliant browser, much of the work is related to promoting the use of standards from the World Wide Web consortium (W3C), such as HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, and DOM, as well as standards from the European Computer Manufacturer's Association (ECMA), such as ECMAScript/JavaScript.

Mozilla Evangelism is not Netscape 6 Evangelism. As members of the mozilla.org community, we actively promote all browsers based upon Mozilla as well as other browsers that adequately support the relevant standards.
