The Olde Cookery Links

This is the beginning of a web directory to resources for culinary history and ethnic and historical cookery. As you all can see it is not nearly finished and polished but the basic engine is working. Unfortunately it has been "not nearly finished" for some time now. But I'll try to fix this this year anyway. So, feel free to add your own link or any other relevant URL you like!

Being in the building phase means that the layout of the directory may change, the categories may be renamed and sites occasionally moved to other categories. Once the categories have matured no listings will be moved.

Comments, suggestions, bug reports etc, goes to chimbis@bahnhof.se for the time being.

www.thousandeggs.com

Cindy Renfrow has got a new site, called thousandeggs.com. Renfrow, for those who don't know, is the author of two excellent books ("Take a Thousand Eggs or More", "A Sip Through Time") containing hundreds of medeival recipes. Some of these she has modified to be easily prepareable in a modern kitchen other are simply translated into modern English and modern measurements. Naturally, you can order her books on-line.

Apart from the possibility to order books (and excellent Christmas present by the way), you may find the possibly largest collection of links to culinary history and recipes on the net.
