Change Log for 4/21/06 WCAG 2.0 Requirements Document
- Added John Slatin as editor
- Rewrote the Abstract. It used to say, "This is a W3C Working Draft produced
by the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Working Group (WCAG WG). The
purpose of this document is to outline the requirements for Web Content Accessibility
Guidelines 2.0. The Working Group encourages feedback about these requirements
as well as participation in the development of the revision by people who
have experience trying to create Web content that conforms to WCAG 1.0."
- Updated the boilerplate text in the Status section and added this paragraph, "Requirements
for WCAG 2.0 is being updated at this time to reflect the current assumptions
that have driven the development of WCAG 2.0."
- Deleted "Math Markup Language (MathML)" and "Resource Description Framework
(RDF)" from "Ensure that requirements may be applied across technologies"
- Changed, "The WG will provide resources to help readers evaluate conformance,
such as technology-specific checklists, sample content, sample renderings
(aural as well as graphical), and processes for determining conformance (e.g.,
in conjunction with the Evaluation and Repair Tools (ERT) and Education and
Outreach (EO) WGs)." to "The WCAG WG will provide resources
to help readers evaluate conformance, such as success criteria, sufficient
techniques, and sample content."
- Changed "3. Ensure that the deliverables are easy to use" to "3.
Design deliverables with ease of use in mind"
- Changed, "The structure of the deliverables must be simple and easy to
use. As part of ensuring the usability of the deliverables, the WCAG WG will
incorporate usability testing into the development process." to "The

the WAI Site Redesign Task Force usability testing and and discuss the design

- Changed "Therefore, WCAG 2.0 should introduce as few changes as possible
to the definition of accessible Web content. Content that conforms to WCAG
1.0 should not need many (if any) changes to conform to WCAG 2.0. Likewise,
authoring tools that produce content that conforms to WCAG 1.0 should not
need many (if
any) changes to produce content that conforms to WCAG 2.0." to "Therefore,
WCAG 2.0 should introduce as few changes as possible to the definition of
