Test Matrices for WCAG 1.0 Errata and WCAG 2.0 HTML Techniques

Test Matrix Explanation

The test matrix is designed to assist us in prioritizing what we can commit to testing. Testing only a few combinations is not acceptable, and attempting to test all OS, browser, Assistive Technology combinations is impossible.

Action Items for Test Matrix:

  1. April 7: Assign Priorities
  2. Ben: Information for hand held devices and mobile phones
  3. Unassigned: Neeet to add ATS, speech recognition, keyboard interface, spellchecker, etc.
  4. Tom: Checking with Joe Clark about Apple Screen Reader
  5. Ben: Operating System ability to enlarge text. What OSs have this feature?
  6. Unassigned: All operting system accessibility features -- Ben has a list that is about two years old
  7. Unassigned: Assistive Technology combinations -- what are the common combinations.
  8. Jenae: Check on ATs for Macs
  9. Jenae: Add more ATS for Windows
  10. Wendy and Jenae: to consider further and make proposal from Cannes F2F

Notes:

  1. The Priority 1, 2 and 3 are placeholders.
  2. There may be combinations that are not applicable. For example, you may never use platform a, with browser b, and assistive technology c. For these instances please let me know and I'll record a "n/a".
  3. The list does not contain specific platform or Assistive Technology versions.
  4. Testing Notes: Safari has two versions and they need to be installed on different machines, see Tom for more information about this.
  5. Testing Notes: Netscape older versions may not run on newer OSs, one machine with different versions of Netscape may not give accurate results?
  6. Testing Notes: Nav 4.7 work with Windows XP
