Hello:

What I think we need to do is to provide people with tools that will do
some of the work for them.  Maybe something that would analyze the page
and ask questions about the images and links.


I would like to prapose that we compile a list of sites that we want to
work with.  We can use whatever guidelines that we create to help site
administrators make them accessible.

Some kind of award could be given to the site that makes the most
improvment.


Here are a few sites that I know about.


{http://www.metrobook.com} is the site for the lap top that I purchased. 
They didn't have a manual in accessable form, and I worked with them to
get one converted to word format.  In fact, I got a CDROM that is not
usable by me at all!!!  This i realize is not the problem that we are
trying to solve, but it is part of the hole problem.  Kin the site
administrator, would like to work on his site, but doesn't know what to
do.

</bigger>This is the site that has information for my <bigger>ActionTec
DataLink 336 PCMCIA Fax Modem

</bigger>that is installed in my Laptop.  Right now, this site is
hopeless.  You can use the tab key and here the HTML page that you can
click on, but otherwise, the page sounds empty.  I'm sure that it is
packed full of images.




I'd like to try and use an award process for people that have taken the
time to work with their site.  It doesn't make good business practice to
force people to comply until we've provide work arounds.
