CALL FOR PAPERS

SWDB-ODBIS07: Joint ODBIS & SWDB Workshop on Semantic Web, Ontologies, Databases and Information Systems

Colocated with VLDB2007
September 23-24, 2007, Vienna, Austria.

Workshop Description

As the fields of Semantic Web and Ontologies continue to mature, exploring their relationships with the area of databases systems has become crucial. This year the organizers of SWDB and ODBIS Workshops have joined efforts in organizing a workshop whose objective is to present databases and information systems research as they relate to ontologies and semantic web.

We invite the submission of short and long papers on research, foundational or technological aspects and describing industrial aspects of creating, storing, managing and querying ontological databases. For a detailed list of topics of interest see http://lsdis.cs.uga.edu/swdb-odbis07/

Submissions must generally be in electronic form using Portable Document Format (.pdf) or PostScript. They must not exceed 6 pages for full length papers or 4 pages for research-in-progress proposals and they must be formatted using the VLDB format.
