Could the "This version" displayed URI be shown as the actual dated URI to encourage people to cite/link it in that form? I think the phrase "This is a stable draft" could be misunderstood, especially as the status section goes on to say "This draft is work in progress and should not be considered either stable or complete." I'd suggest replacing the first two (non-italic) paras with: This document is a working draft developed and maintained by a W3C Community Group, the XQuery and XSLT Extensions Community Group <https://www.w3.org/community/xslt-40/> unofficially known as QT4CG (where "QT" denotes Query and Transformation). This draft is work in progress and the specification should not be considered either stable or complete. Standard W3C copyright and patent conditions apply. This draft is a snapshot of the specification representing the consensus of the Community Group at the time of publication. It is published with a dated URL and will remain available at that URL so that users and implementors can refer to this as a versioned draft, confident that it won’t change. However, the work is not finished, and the specification is under active development. For links to the most recent specifications, see https://qt4cg.org/. After the paragraph listing features at risk (in some of the specs), add: Some areas where it is known that further work is needed are flagged within the text using annotations such as "Editorial Note" or "TODO"; others are identified by open issues in the GitHub repository.
