Per discussion on teleconf call The editorial comments on the surveys were made (people - if you name is below - please go into the survey (which is reopened) and delete your editorial comments so that it is less confusing. You can check the new draft to be sure they are made to your satisfaction before deleting your comment (or amending it) Also per telecon call, the bulk examples etc were also deleted and moved to the UNDERSTANDING document. The WCAG 1.0 section was reduced to 2 sentences which point elsewhere. And the How to reference section was removed. The glossary was also reduced to just the two definitions that changed. It is now just 5-7 pages depending on how you print. EVERYONE - The proposal as now edited is at <http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2006/11/conformance-revs.html#conformance-reqs> http://www.w3.org/WAI/GL/2006/11/conformance-revs.html#conformance-reqs Comments on Conformance Intro. Andi - I think new wording from commenter addresses your comment in Q2 "Comments on Conformance Intro." Comments on "Technology independence" (section) Michael - edits made Andi Changed " as long as the technologies are supported by accessible user agents, including assistive technologies." to " as long as the accessibility-enabled technologies relied upon are supported by accessible user agents, including assistive technologies." REMOVED SECOND PARAGRAPH per suggestion. - I don't agree that "on-screen and alternative keyboards, single switches, voice recognition, and a wide variety of input and output devices" are "user agents". I suggest deleting the second paragraph on how WCAG uses the term user agents. The glossary entry should be enough. Becky Paragraph removed. Comments on "Choosing accessibility-enabled Web technologies (AeWT)" (section) Loretta - 'most all' changed to 'almost all' Andi - transition there now? - Don't think we can delete P1(no intro to AeWT if we do) but we shortened it to remove redundancy. Ok now? - Changed "provisions' to 'features' Christophe - "AT" removed from end Comments on "Established lists of accessibility-enabled Web technologies" (section) Andi 1) Changed "established lists of accessible Web technologies" to "established lists of accessibility-enabled Web technologies" 2) Changed " The non-accessibility-enabled Web technologies do not interfere with (break or block access to) the content" to " The other (non-accessibility-enabled) Web technologies do not interfere with (break or block access to) the conforming content" Christophe - AWT changed to AeWT Cynthia - Gregg editorial changes were made. Comments on "CC-2 Minimum Conformance" (Conformance Criterion 2) Bruce - we do have Single-A later but not in title since this is different than others. This is minimum level which is more important. Cynthia - Gregg edits made. Comments on "CC-6 Content negotiation" (Conformance Criterion 6) Andi - "accessible" and "fully-accessible" have been removed. Comments on "Conformance exceptions" (section) Loretta - typo fixed. Comments on "Conformance Notes" (section) Andi - Supplemental information has been edited. Make sense now? In prep for tomorrows review of the conformance writeup Ben and I went over all of the related issues to see if they had all been addressed. This included the following topics AGGREGATED ALTERNATE-VERSIONS AUTHORED-UNITS BASELINE CONFORMANCE LEVELAAA LEVELS NOT-IN-BASELINE, (covered in Baseline) WEB-UNIT The attached sheet provides a short summary of each issue and the proposed response (either the one in the issue or from our face-to-face proposals. We found some that were not covered - and added additional changes to address them. They are marked in yellow and with @@ in the comment. The changes were also added as comments to the survey form so that they could be considered with all the rest. When we accept the final conformance section it will close about 134 issues or so. (there are 180 lines on the page but a bunch appear in more than one category.) Process from here - agree on conformance section and about conformance key parts - proposed final wording to close the issues - approve wording on issues via survey. You don't need to read through all these issues (on this sheet) by tomorrow. That will happen later. This is just to let you know that we have reviewed all the related issues again and we don't have any that haven't been addressed by what we have already talked about or our current proposals. The face-to-face gave us almost all of what we needed to pull this together. Congratulations again on the very productive face-to-face and the meetings that followed. See you tomorrow to discuss what we have so far. Gregg -- ------------------------------ Gregg C Vanderheiden Ph.D.
