The Delta Jazz Festival hits town this month, with visitors and musicians from all over the country making a beeline for the Big A's 730 clubs and theatres. That's two for every day of the year! We'll be hearing the best New Orleans, Chicago Style, BeBop and Fusion, as well as Big Band, Dixieland, Swing, Jazz Funk and Ragtime. Something for everyone!

If you don't already have your tickets, what's wrong with you? Get on over to the top floor of City Hall and get some -- alternatively you can dial the 'music' line below. If you don't fancy the thought of all those stairs (the elevator's still broken, say my sources at city hall), then you can still book online. Tonight's performances are listed on the right, click on the blue links to book tickets, green links give more information about the type of Jazz you'll be hearing.

This page demonstrates the need for content to make sense when read out 'in order', that is, sequentially as it appears in the code. Problems include the text of news items, which read horizontalls rather than vertically; the 'tonite' box to the right being placed at the end of all other text on the page, although it is referred to in the first paragraph of the 'What's On' section. Try reading it in JAWS or a similar screen reader.
Other problems include:

• Inappropriate, unhelpful or missing alt text for various images. Especially frustrating are the telephone numbers.
• Headings not marked up as such
• Paragraphs not marked up as such
• Lists not marked up as such -- and graphics are used as bullets with inappropriate alt text.
• Graphics are used instead of text for headings
• Relies on color-coding of links with no other cues
