With this charter review notice, the W3C Team initiates refinement for a 
draft SVG Working Group charter:
https://w3c.github.io/charter-drafts/2026/svg-wg.html

The mission of the Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) Working Group is to 
maintain SVG specifications.

We encourage early discussion of this draft charter in this public issue:
https://github.com/w3c/strategy/issues/559

Members may use w3c-ac-forum@w3.org (archive [1]) for general 
expressions of interest and support for the charter, but please use the 
public forum for detailed discussion.

Section 4.2 of the Process Document [2] describes activities during 
charter refinement and the role of the Chartering Facilitator of this 
charter to seek consensus among those who provide feedback about it.

The W3C Team estimates that this charter refinement will last until 
approximately 2026-07-24.

The current charter [3] is hereby extended until 30 September 2026 to 
cover the time needed for the rechartering process.
