What's not here yet?
Several important recommendations relating to conformance in WCAG 3.0 as published in the Silver Design Sprint Final Report are not yet +reflected in this First Public Working Draft, including:
Develop scorecard or rubric measures for testing task accomplishment, instead of technical page conformance.
Include a definition and concept forsubstantially meetsso people are not excessively penalized for bugs that may not have a large impact on the experience of people with disabilities.
Develop a more flexible method of claiming conformance that is better suited to accommodate dynamic or more regularly updated content.
This draft also does not yet address any of the conformance challenges discussed in the AGWG draft Technical Report document, Challenges with Accessibility Guidelines Conformance and Testing, and Approaches for Mitigating Them. Finally, as we worked to better address the needs of people with cognitive impairments, we recognized the importance of characterizing problems arising from an accumulation of friction—any single instance of which may not pose a barrier, but which when encountered in larger numbers can become overwhelming. This concept is not yet addressed in this draft. For Conformance Section, shortly before 6.1
