Hi, iXMLers! There seems to be some interest in trying out user group meetups, so let's have the first one in just under a fortnight: Tuesday June 30th 15:00 BST (that's London time, currently UTC+1) - 16:00 CEST - 10:00 EDT Zoom link: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/84512404953?pwd=aVCBAcK7aC69iuMz1AyjJe1qjk3yAt.1 This is currently set to be a recurring meeting, once a fortnight, on weeks when the Community Group isn't meeting. If you have anything specific you'd like to share or ask or discuss, send me an email before 12:00 BST the day before the meeting, and I'll try to add it to our agenda. Topics might include, but aren't limited to, things like... - General or specific questions about grammars: how to fix an error; how to reduce ambiguities; how to represent a particular pattern; why iXML can't express certain types of pattern... - Ideas or questions about using iXML with other tools: when to hand off a task to XSLT or XProc or something else; how to incorporate iXML into a web app; how (and how easily) iXML can be incorporated into programs written in Python or Java or any other language... - Lightning talks (let's say a maximum of 5 minutes) about things you're doing, or want to do, with iXML: successes; lessons learned; a fun project you're really proud of; work in progress... - Lightning talks from implementers: show off a new feature; ask for user feedback on design choices; test out new ideas; tell us what's proving complicated or frustrating... - If you want to hear from a particular implementer, from someone involved in writing the specification, or from someone you know is using iXML for a cool project, let me know and I'll try to strongarm them into making an appearance (I have more influence with some people than with others, but I'll give it a try in any case). I expect these meetups to be fairly informal, but I'll also try to ensure we have a little bit of structure to the agenda so we can make time for the things people have said they want to hear about. I'll send out a reminder a day or so beforehand, at least while we get used to the new arrangement. Looking forward to seeing you!
