Re: PR 366 (@alias; [Lu]; tests iri-*)

The first record I can find of a discussion about using strings for renaming is in the minutes of 01 October 2024:

This gave an action:
"SP to try out the renaming to a string."

We then have the following:
ACTION: 2024-10-15-a SP to make a PR for the rename string change.

And a pull request made in November 2024, which appears never to have been merged, and which didn't make the transition from GitHub to Codeberg.

The fact that we never merged that PR suggests that we didn't reach agreement on its contents. I think we now need to discuss the new PR.
