Yes, codeberg is easier to use than github.

We discussed it in a recent meeting, I'll need time to find which; the error was reported by my students.

We discussed that in a meeting too (one where Michael was present), to allow any XML tag to be an element name, not just the ones that ixml accepts (for instance "abc."). I will dig that out too. 
That same day I added it to my implementation, and this is the corresponding change to the spec.
