The First International Symposium on Invisible Markup
26/27 February 2026, online

Call for Presentations

Invisible XML is a language and process for identifying structure in documents without the need for explicit markup in the documents.

Since the release of the ixml standard in 2022, there has been steadily increasing interest in, and use of, the language, as evidenced by a large number of presentations at various events.

As a result, the ixml community group feels the time is right for an event exclusively dedicated to the topic.

We invite anyone to submit a proposal for a presentation on

and any other related subject around invisible markup.

Presentations can be up to 30 minutes, but may be as short as 10. Presentations will be by Zoom; presenters should submit their slides after the event; talks will be recorded and published after the event; there is no requirement for a paper.

Proposals should include a title, requested duration, and summary (100–200 words).

Please submit your proposals to submit@invisiblexml.org before November 30, 2025.

The Symposium

The Symposium will be held on two afternoons (European time) for four hours each day, Thursday/Friday 26/27 February 2026. It will be held via Zoom. Registration will be announced later, but will be free attendance.

The presentations will be recorded, and published on YouTube, with an opt-out possibility. Slides will be published on the conference page.
