The CSS `writing-mode` property specifies where in the available area text should begin and in which direction it should flow. It also specifies the position of the next line when a line break occurs. In Japanese vertical text, it can be difficult to read if new lines start on the right side. Therefore, it is better to use the term “writing-mode.” 2026年9月4日(金) 23:15 Yasuo Kida <kida@mac.com>: > > I strongly believe that the lack of a perfect, fully automatic transformation should not be used as a reason not to introduce switching between vertical and horizontal writing modes.
