face to face meeting host offers for the HTML WG?

It seems straightforward for W3C to host a meeting of this HTML WG during
the Technical Plenary 5-10 November 2007, Cambridge, MA, USA

Perhaps it's good to have a meeting before then; we can
meet up to 2 times per year.

I have heard some interest in having a meeting around XTech,
which is May 15-18 in Paris. I don't have any particular offer
to host in hand. Is anyone interested to arrange a room and such?

W3C process for face-to-face meetings calls for 8 weeks notice
of the date/place; or perhaps less as long as noone objects.

That suggests making a decision around March 20th; I don't know
if that's feasible.

I have also heard some interest in meeting on the US West Coast.
I'm interested in any offers to host the meeting.

I wonder how many people are interested to attend. I expect a survey
will help, so I set one up:

I set it up to close in a week.

Perhaps we'll get more information during that time; I might
change the questions to be more specific if hosting offers emerge.

Noone is obliged to travel to meetings; we'll be sure to allow
"remote, asynchronous participation using, for example, email and/or 
web-based survey techniques"
for all technical decisions.

So a survey might start during a meeting
and end a week later, or a review period might start before a meeting
and end after a meeting, etc.
