Hi DAS WG participants,

This is a Call for Consensus to resolve a Formal Objection to the Devices and Sensors Working Group Charter[1] by removing WebHID, WebNFC, WebUSB, Web Bluetooth and Web Serial from the list of tentative deliverables.

Please reply to public-device-apis@w3.org<mailto:public-device-apis@w3.org> by August 28th, 2026 if you have any concerns. Silence is considered consent.

Thank you everyone who responded to this Call for Consensus.

Concerns were raised about the proposed removal of WebHID, WebNFC, WebUSB, Web Bluetooth and Web Serial from the charter's tentative deliverables. As a result, consensus was not reached.

The W3C Team will take this feedback into consideration when planning next steps.

Thanks,

-Anssi (DAS WG co-chair)
