In Conclusion, developing web content for mobile devices presents unique set of challenges that can be attributed to several factors; the proliferation of devices in the market with wide range of shapes and sizes and device capabilities which include for example a wide range of browser implementation makes it difficult for mobile web developers, content authors and even systems to adapt their application and content to suit their client. The landscape document looks at the current options that exist for providing device description and how those descriptions can be used to enable device aware applications, it also articulates the work that W3C and other organizations have been doing to address these issues. The methodology that was used to reflect the state of device description and content adaptation technology was based on a series of questionnaire. The results of which showed that all responders believed that device descriptions should be publicly available in some form, showing that it is a critical element in the success of mobile web.
