COGA Guidance Subgroup: Summary and minutes for January 15th

Hi, folks, thanks for the good conversation yesterday. I will send a
separate email with action items and asynchronous review for the week
leading up to the January 22nd subgroup meeting, thanks.

*Summary*

   - We discussed several illustrations in the V2 pattern about interactive
   elements

We spent the bulk of the meeting talking about accordion examples,
   including:
      - Which symbols to use
      - Whether to include an always-present textual label and/or to show a
      tooltip with words like "Expand/Collapse."
   - Our discussion about accordions included concerns about the overlap
between this pattern about interactive elements and the next pattern about
   clear visible labels.
      - As a reminder from previous subgroup discussions, Rain recommends
not putting too many things in one pattern because users are
likely to skim
the pattern titles and not notice everything that is covered inside each
      pattern.
      - After the subgroup meeting ended, Julie and Len decided to move the
accordion examples to "Use Clear Visible Labels" to reduce
overlap between
      these two patterns.
   - For the "Do" example of using standard, platform-specific interface
controls, the group decided to make the Contact Form a modal and a "close"
symbol in the upper right corner.
