[Time-sensitive] COGA task force: January 12th summary and minutes, plus time-sensitive AG updates

Hi, folks, thanks for your time today. Below is a summary of what we
discussed, plus a link to the minutes. As noted in the subject line, the AG
updates are time-sensitive.

*Summary of January 12th COGA task force meeting*
*Note-taking tools are not allowed*

   - W3C does not allow AI note-taking tools for reasons involving
   security, privacy, and legal concerns from member organizations.
   - *Action item: *Julie will ask Gareth to stop sending a note-taking
   tool to COGA meetings.

*Calendar invites and meeting notifications*

   - Julie asked COGA members to make sure their individual W3C calendars
   are showing invites for the COGA task force meeting on Mondays and the two
   COGA subgroup meetings on Thursdays.
   - Len shared how to export these meetings to your personal calendar; see
   the minutes <https://www.w3.org/2026/01/12-coga-minutes.html> for more
   detail.
   - *Action item: *We'll add W3C calendar and export info to the COGA
   onboarding doc.

*AG updates [Time-sensitive]*

   - *New AG charter: *Survey ends today/January 12th at 23:59 UTC (6:59 pm

   - *Next WCAG 3 working draft: *Survey ends January 18th; asks if people
   have major objections to any of the requirements marked as “developing”

      - Of the ~220 requirements and assertions, only ~16 are at the
      earliest (exploratory) level. Most are at the next level (developing).
      - Julie emphasized that this survey is not about wordsmithing. There
      will be other opportunities to weigh in on how requirements and
assertions
      get refined.
      - This survey is an opportuinty to object to including specific
      topics in WCAG 3.
   - *New AG member orientation:* Join tomorrow’s AG meeting

   30 minutes earlier, at 10:30am ET, if you want to attend new member

*No COGA task force meeting on Monday, January 19th*
This meeting has been canceled on the W3C calendar due to the federal
holiday in the U.S.
