fjh: WD publication request in and approved so expect it to be published
tomorrow. Thanks to Rob and Benjamin

### WD publications

shepazu: shouldn't we have a CfC before WD publication process

fjh: it depends, thought the group agreed this time not to have a CfC

... if the automated WD publication is used then CfCs are not typically used,
so this is similar to that model

... depends on whether we put changes into draft with agreement or agree after
put in

shepazu: that is Editors Draft model

... think we should have consensus for WDs

fjh: understand that point of view, we just need to be clear

shepazu: will send email

### FindText

shepazu: CfC for publication of FWPD of FindText ends today

... do you understand what it is

davis_salisbury: yes, have been keeping up

shepazu: no objections to CfC

**RESOLUTION: we will publish the FindText API as FPWD**

shepazu: WebApps closed, now Web Platform WG

... talked with chairs of Web Platform, they are ok with publication of
FindText

... three open discussion pointson draft, went to promises, search vs
searchAll, return value

... ongoing discussion will continue

... 2nd bill hunt asked about RegEx capability as input type, search for
patterns, maybe but concerned about performance when combined with edit
distance

... edit distance is a priority

... suggested Bill raise issue on github

... 3rd Google person suggestion

... concerns with serialization method, suggested text iteration api

... as basis

... so might need to define another serializer, more work, but might be
improvement

<Zakim> fjh, you wanted to ask about publication prep who and publication
request

fjh: who will do publication prep and publication request

shepazu: I will unless you want to do publication request

fjh: no that is ok, will assume you will prepare and do publication request,
also transition request

shepazu: that works, I will do these three things, probably should plan for
publication next Tuesday 20 October

fjh: chairs need to complete agenda, in progress, have wiki

shepazu: suggestions for agenda items

fjh: will proceed offline with that
