Hi Mary, Thank you for taking the time to comment on this matter. The sentence that you have highlighted is in the Benefits section of the Understanding document for SC 3.2.2. The text highlights aims to highlight that if automatic changes in context (without advising the user prior to use) are avoided will help reduce the risk that people become disoriented while navigating a site. As I read it, it seems to me that the problem word is ‘unable’ as that doesn’t highlight that meeting the SC would be beneficial. So the text would read: Individuals who are able to detect changes of context are less likely to become disoriented while navigating a site. I could be wrong in my reading (wouldn’t be the first time) but I will raise an issue in the WCAG repo and let the WCAG 2 group review and address as appropriate.
