Dear PSO PC members, First of all, I wish all of you a Happy New Year. I have no objections to the modifications to the ICANN bylaws proposed by Louis Touton. It is not clear to me whether each PSO PC member should post its view in the indicated web site or whether a collective view of the PSO PC should be posted. I won't send my agreement until we decide what to do. Kind regards, Azucena Louis Touton <touton@icann.org> con fecha 30/12/2001 20:52:40 Destinatarios: smb@research.att.com, fabio.bigi@virgilio.it, leslie@thinkingcat.com, duerst@w3.org, Azucena Hernandez Perez/INFR/TESA@Telefonica, tapio.kaijanen@ficom.fi, brian@bwmc.demon.co.uk, djweitzner@w3.org CC: vladmir.androuchko@itu.int Asunto: Proposed Amendment to the ICANN Bylaws on Director Term Alignment To the Protocol Council: At the annual meeting in November, the ICANN Board requested that I prepare a proposed amendment to the ICANN bylaws to change the time when Directors selected by the Supporting Organizations are seated. Currently, they are seated on the 1 October; under the proposal they would instead be seated at the end of the annual meeting. This would mean that each year's group of new Directors would be seated at the same time. The proposal has been posted on the ICANN web site at <http://www.icann.org/general/proposed-bylaw-revision-28dec01.htm>. Comments are invited. They should be made by e-mail or ICANN's web-based forum (see the posting for links) on or before 31 January 2002. With best wishes for the New Year, Louis Touton General Counsel
