I don't see that Word formatting adds to them substantially, and plain text is (much) smaller, doesn't require launching a separate application, is easier to search through/modify etc. Other people may feel differently... Re. the dial-in number for the teleconference -- that will be "toll free", from the various locations people will be calling in from?
