Great work Tim! Thanks for taking on this important and valuable task.
Anyone wanting to get familiar with WebDAV versioning will find these
scenarios very helpful. They are based on the scenarios in the goals
document but extended to the whole versioning semantics. If you were at the
Delta-V working group meeting in DC, you'll see that these scenarios pick
up where we left off and provide additional explanation and protocol
details. They should provide an excellent basis for 1) examining the scope
of the versioning problem we were attempting to solve, 2) the specific
versioning semantics, 3) how the protocol supports the semantics and what's
missing, 4) grounding the discussion on protocol options in the reality of
specific use cases, 5) what a versioning server has to do, and 6) a set of
interoperability test cases. Again, thinks Tim for this important and
valuable contribution to WebDAV versioning.

Subject: Versioning Scenarios

I've written up some scenarios to illustrate the versioning protocol, and
uploaded the document to www.webdav.org.

There's still more work to be done on the document, but I'd welcome
feedback
on this early version both in terms of content and presentation. Expect
further changes!

The URL to the delta-V home page is http://www.webdav.org/deltav/

Regards,
Tim
