W.r.to 'build management' there are several issues to consider:

a) The distribution of the source materials and the placement of the target
build (several messages have addressed this)
b) Guarantee for rebuildability (at anytime in the future, can I rebuild the
same package that I built before)
c) Creating packages
d) Deploying packages (patching, link verification, etc.)

(b), (c), and (d) involve tracking dependencies and operations in ways
currently not well specified in DAV.
