Sorry, Sankar, I should have provided more context.

Brad Sergeant mailed out 3 key branching scenarios to this mailing
list (dated Feb 12, 1999).  I believe these are key CM scenarios,
independent of whether you are branch-based or not, so I told Brad
that I'd try to rephrase them in a branch-independent way, so that
we could include them in the Goals document without making them
sound like they are scenarios only relevant for branch-based servers.

Please let me know if the objective of the note merits further
clarification.
