(See Jim Amsden's "How to create configurations" message) - Terminology: To avoid (for now) the issue of what things are called, let's use the term "revision-map" to name the resource that selects one revision from each of a set of versioned-resources. - Issue: Is a "snapshot" operation the only way to create a revision-map (or can you create an empty revision-map and modify it incrementally. - Issue: What is the "scope" of the snapshot operation. - Issue: If we model a version-map as a revision (a "snapshot") of a special kind of versioned-resource, what can you modify about a checked out snapshot (just its scope)? Is the revision-map determined by the workspace selection at checkin time, or some other way? Cheers, Geoff
