That response is, frankly, laughable. Internet Explorer has, probably,
the worst track record of any web browser when it comes to
security. :)

This may, or may not be true. "Too" can be a pretty subjective
word. They don't seem to be meeting their customer's needs though...
Either way, its certainly time for people to learn to develop to
standards - so if you push the right information at them you'll have
some firepower if they try that one again ("You had this problem with
the last application you developed. I gave you the information you
needed so it wouldn't happen again. Why has it happened again?").
