This is an interesting if entirely inconsequential
question.

I would agree (with Daniel). According to the CSS
grammar.

BODY P is a selector, with BODY a simple selector, P a
simple selector, and ' ' a combinator (defined thus in
the grammar:
: '+' S* | '>' S* | /* empty */)
