Boston/Cambridge travel notes

A few random notes for those traveling to the plenary.  (But don't
forget all the info on http://www.w3.org/2007/11/TPAC/overview.html
as well.)

Maps
====
http://maps.google.com/ has good maps, satellite, and has subway
stations marked.  (But the "Harvard University" label is a bit off
at some zoom levels.)  You may want to start from
http://maps.google.com/maps?q=575+Memorial+Drive,+Cambridge,+MA+(Hyatt+Regency+Cambridge)&ie=UTF8&z=14&om=1

The full transit network map is also pretty good and can be
downloaded.  You need two files (though mainly the first):

The closest subway station to the Hyatt Regency is, I think, across
the river (either Boston University Central or Boston University
West), on branch B of the Green Line (which is the tram line),
though there is a bus stop significantly closer than that.

Weather
=======
Normal high temperature for November 7 is 54.7°F (12.6°C), and
normal low temperature is 40.5°F (4.7°C) [1].

The highest temperature on record (1872-2001) for the date range
November 4-11 is 79°F (26°C) on November 5, 1994, and the lowest
temperature on record for that date range is 17°F (-8°C) on November
5, 1879.
