Netscape 6.0/ Windows

Hallo Suzanne,

I got a reaction from Paul Tobin, that you find in this mail. Perhaps is this the reason why many sites have problems with Netscape 6.0

My problems have been solved after his mail, simple by looking in the Dutch version of the HTML 4 bible, second edition. There I found the solution of my problem. Pre and big are tags that cann't used togehter.

I have this book since a week, because I am still learning html4 myself by studiyng the book "HTML4 in 24 hours", written by D. Oliver. When I have studied it all, I want to learn more about stylesheets and strict 4.01 html. As I learn it all myself I want not be confused by html 4, html 4.01 and xhtml.
Till now I can make sites very well with html 4.0. But after the mail of Paul when it gives problems in Navigator 6.0 I look into the 4.01 html book to solve these.

I want to start a websitecompany as soon as possible and that's why I continue to learn the book of Oliver. I have had till now only one problem with programming in netscape 6.0.

I write my first site www.hoehnermusikfan.net in notepad and make the graphics in paintshop pro 6 So I learn the most of my mistakes and know exactly what tags do when I want to use software as frontpage.

I heard today that windows 2000 is the follow-up of the NT-version 4 and only intended for networks. The ME version is not compatible with all software on the market. and gives many problems for that reason. So I will not exchange my windows98 version.

Kind regards

I also write now on my sites that the site is not working so well in netscape 6.0

First of all, Netscape 6.01 is out.

Second, if your sites are valid HTML and valid CSS, Netscape 6 will render without fault (although it might not support all of CSS2, like Mozilla).

If your sites are not valid HTML, you are playing with fire.
