Call for Consensus - ends Friday, May 10th at 10:00 Boston time.

This CFC is to update the WCAG 3 working draft with the exploratory guidelines the group has been working on. The purpose of publishing this initial list is to:

  * better understand the scope of needs,
  * request assistance in identifying gaps, and
  * request assistance locating and conducting research to validate or invalidate the outcomes listed.

The chairs made a few changes based on comments and feedback since the Tuesday meeting.

  1. Updated the editor's note at the beginning of the guidelines section<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/raw.githack.com/w3c/wcag3/guidelines_update_april_24/guidelines/index.html*guidelines__;Iw!!EDx7F7x-0XSOB8YS_BQ!dcHnQiimufKA5LPVT38dzEomymz9ERg9pOSML0Mp3qfQ-hLR4d6ZBtnix6TsmBcJHDrlVlapkuzK6uxFE3Z-eA$>.
  2. Added Editors notes to items that need additional research
  3. Updated Focus Retention with the suggested text from meeting
  4. Added the word "visual" to "Use of depth" so it now reads "Use of Visual Depth - Information is not conveyed with visual depth alone."
  5. Removed Focus Restored as a duplicate of Restore Focus
  6. Removed Keyboard Mode under components as an exact duplicate of Keyboard Mode under input

The proposed updates can be viewed on:

  *   Github PR 63<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/github.com/w3c/wcag3/pull/62__;!!EDx7F7x-0XSOB8YS_BQ!dcHnQiimufKA5LPVT38dzEomymz9ERg9pOSML0Mp3qfQ-hLR4d6ZBtnix6TsmBcJHDrlVlapkuzK6uzvdiOJkA$>
·                  RawGit Preview<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/raw.githack.com/w3c/wcag3/guidelines_update_april_24/guidelines/index.html__;!!EDx7F7x-0XSOB8YS_BQ!dcHnQiimufKA5LPVT38dzEomymz9ERg9pOSML0Mp3qfQ-hLR4d6ZBtnix6TsmBcJHDrlVlapkuzK6ux9aWHS4Q$>

If you have concerns about this proposed consensus position that have not been discussed already and feel that those concerns result in you “not being able to live with” this decision, please let the group know before the CfC deadline.

Kind regards,

Rachael
