At the UK Centre for Ecology & Hydrology, we’re looking for a Semantic Web
Architect to join our Environmental Data Science team. The role will
involve working with colleagues across disciplines to develop a
commons-based approach to our digital research infrastructure which
enhances integrative science and supports interoperability both within
UKCEH and with our partner organisations. This includes developing
solutions to enhance FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)
access to key data (and other) resources across UKCEH, exploring underlying
software architectures to implement a commons within contemporary
cloud-based environments, and specifically investigating the role of
semantic web concepts, including vocabularies and ontologies, within a
commons context.
