SWSA Distinguished Dissertation Award applications due 30 June

Award detail: http://swsa.semanticweb.org/content/swsa-distinguished-dissertation-award

We’ve changed the rules of the game this year:

(1) Fewer submission materials required:

We dropped a few items to focus the application on the students, and their PhD theses. Find the new requirements at the end of this email.

(2) PhD-awarded cuts-off dates have changed

Now, those who have been awarded a PhD between *January 1, 2019 and June 30, 2020* can apply (they must not have previously applied for this award).

(3) Collective decision

Programme Committee members will collectively discuss and pick the winner/s, to get around any COI that’s likely to emerge given the size of our community.

Please encourage your students to check the award website, and apply. Deadline is *June 30th*.

Best regards,
