Re: Re: Discrepancy regarding parameter inputs

A connection is IMHO any of p:empty, p:inline, p:document, p:pipe, not just a p:pipe.
The sentence "parameter input port declarations
must be empty" in the static error description implies that none of the above elements is allowed, which is contradictory to the description of the port declaration.

Connection are made through use of p:pipehere p:pipe cannot be used, so there is no connection possible
Hope this helps

Hello,

according to the spec (5.1.2), the declaration of a parameter input looks like the following:
<p:input

port = NCName

sequence? = boolean

primary? = boolean

kind = "parameter">

(p:empty |

(p:document |

p:inline)+)?

</p:input>
i.e. connections ARE allowed on the declaration.

Further in that chapter, it says:
It is a
static
error(err:XS0035) if the declaration of a parameter
input port contains a connection; parameter input port declarations
must be empty.

Which one is true?
Thanks
